It Worked

A Gujju fella called Krishna Bhanji wanted to be a British actor, so he changed his name to Ben Kingsley. The man looks as Gujju as ever, but apparently, even totally "expert" movie critics are fooled:

The excerpt is from "Ten Sure Signs a Movie Character is Doomed, and Other Surprising Movie Lists", a really, really crappy book by Richard Roeper. (Crappy because it's full of lists of movies, actors and quotes from movies rather than any actual content. Not that Roeper writes very well at all.)

  1. He is partly right. As far as I can remember, he's like a "hybrid". Dad is desi and Mom is Brit.

Did he really live in Gujjuland? Hmm.. I can wikipedize it.. but..

  2. You're right, but the point is this dude HAS gujju heritage.. he IS half-gujju. He can't be used as an example of a gringo playing an amigo. :D You know?
