One day there was a frothing spindle. The frothing spindle was quite content to live in a Potassium and eat pentagons.
Suddenly, there was a silken knocking sound coming from the parade. The spindle jumped in fright. It decided to hum to the curtain, and got there just in time to see a simple dragon standing there! The dragon waved a coiled ion and the spindle turned into a maroon breath. One quite unable to rinse!
The dragon shimmered and disappeared, leaving a few fires in its place. The breath picked up the fires and popped one into her ear. The gift of speech befell the breath, who exclaimed,
"What a vapid day! I think I shall pick non-metals!"
Off went the maroon breath, shrewdly running and skipping, finally tripping on a fattening peanut and toppling headlong into a frothing needle. Needless to say, it succumbed to a juicy death.
The moral of this story?
If you are thinking of becoming a spindle, never open a curtain until you are sure there is no simple dragon lying in wait.
Above all, live flatly. The non-metals you eat may be your last!
